Let’s dive in to their Summer 2016 makeup box!
Pacifica Beauty Dream Big Lash Extending Mascara, $16 – This is my third tube of unicorny lashy love, and that’s because I’m a total fan of its formula and unique design. It has an adjustable wand, works as a lash serum, lifts, strengthens, adds volume and color. Apply first layer with brush extended. Let dry. Twist. Apply second layer with shorter brush to build. Simple and genius! Plus, wooty-woot, for this being a local Portland beauty brand. 🙂
Juice Beauty Defining Eyeliner, $16 – As a whole, I friggin’ adore Juice Beauty. The formula of this liner sounded über nourishing with its shea and cocoa butters, acai and goji berries. Unfortunately, I wasn’t crazy about the way it applied to my lids. There was a bit of resistance. I wish the formula were a little creamier, but hey, that’s just me. You may love it!
YourMinerals Eye Shadow in Lavender Dream, $21 – Sorry about my sloppy swatch down below. *burying my head in beauty blogger shame* This all-natural loose mineral eyeshadow is a really lovely shade. It’s nicely pigmented, and the specs of green in my otherwise brown eyes beg for purple eye colors, so I definitely dig this. Btw, you can use this wet or dry.
Hynt Beauty Lip Gloss in Satin Nude, $18 – This creamy and lightweight lipgloss is made with wholesome, skin-lovin’ organic ingredients like beauty oils and shea butter! This is a shimmery gloss with metallic rose gold sparkly bits. It’s not exactly what I have in mind when I think of a nude, but I really like this shade none-the-less. Gimme all the GLITTERY GOODIES!
Wink Lash & Brow Enhancer, $40 – Dang, this is a spensy item! I personally love using castor oil (the main ingredient in this bad boy) on my lashes to help them grow and stay healthy. Castor oil has natural hair growth properties, and me and my 2.5 wimp-o lashes need all the help they can get! I like the applicator and the ingredients sounds right up my alley (clean and naturally derived). Will keep you guys posted if I see any noticeable results using this over the next couple weeks.
Verdict: Diggity dang, their summer makeup box was worth $111! That’s a steal for 5 full-size items, right? Faves in this quarter’s box include the Pacifica mascara, lavender eye shadow, and eyelash enhancer. If you’re a lover of vegan and cruelty-free makeup, I highly recommend giving this goodie box a whirl – so many fun snd new discoveries for not a lot of $.
